Yung Chih Teng is a Taiwanese dance performer, and facilitator currently living between Taipei and Taoyuan.
Working through improvisation, embodied practice, and choreography, her work explores how bodies continuously adapt, relate, and transform within ecological and social systems. She is interested in movement as a way of sensing, negotiating, and reimagining relationships between people, environments, and the more-than-human world.
Alongside creating and performing, Yung regularly leads workshops, facilitates participatory projects, and engages in international artistic exchanges and residencies. Her practice seeks to cultivate spaces for curiosity, play, and embodied connection, bringing artistic research into dialogue with communities and educational contexts.
Her ongoing project, Playgrounding, uses the park as a site and metaphor for exploring ecological awareness, social relationships, and collective imagination. Through performances, workshops, and site-responsive practices, the project investigates how public spaces can become places for encounter, participation, and new ways of being together.
Yung holds an MA in Expanded Dance Practice from London Contemporary Dance School and a BA in Dance from the University of Taipei.
